The Brookside PTA is a partnership between parents and educators working together to enhance student learning and support our incredible staff. It is a shared space to exchange ideas, strengthen our community, and enrich our children's school experience.

Do I have to volunteer?
Only if you want to! If your ideal level of involvement is paying your dues, sticking our calendar magnet on your fridge, and breathing a sigh of relief that someone else is organizing the details—that is a 100% valid choice. Your membership dollars do the heavy lifting. BUT if you want to volunteer, we’ll welcome you with open arms. Learn more about open volunteer opportunities.
Where do the funds go?
PTA memberships—along with events like the Bobcat Walk, Mumkin Sale, and book fairs—help quietly fill in the gaps for our school community. Recent funding has provided:
Student Enrichment: New recess equipment, field trips (COSI, Ohio Caverns, Zoo), and Student of the Month t-shirts.
Community Events: Family fun nights, Wellness Night, and the Brookside Bash on the last day of school.
Staff Appreciation: Small classroom stipends and "Sunshine" treats, meals, and morale boosters.
